‘Oxfam Trailwalker 2022′ Updates

Despite the uncertainties we face, our determination of holding an in-person Oxfam Trailwalker has never wavered.

We’re now actively working on hosting an in-person Oxfam Trailwalker in February 2023. The more flexible ‘Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 – VIRTUALLY TOGETHER’ is just around the corner too and will be held from November to December this year. We’re excited to invite all of you to join Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 (OTW 2022)! To join, apply by or before 21 October 2022.

Teams interested in joining the OTW 2022 in-person event in February 2023 should register by or before 21 October. Should the government approve fewer quotas than the number of applications received, priority will be given to teams that raised over HK$20,000 in OTW 2021-VIRTUALLY TOGETHER. Other teams will then be randomly selected. Please note that information about the payment of the HK$1,600 registration fee and other details will be announced in mid-November.

Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 – VIRTUALLY TOGETHER

In addition to actively preparing for the in-person “Oxfam Trailwalker 2022”, we are also preparing for ‘Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 – VIRTUALLY TOGETHER’, which will be held from 26 November to 18 December. This year, we have three categories: ‘Tenacious Trailwalkers’, ‘Spirited Trailwalkers’ and ‘Hearty Trailwalkers’. These categories offer teams the choice of splitting the 100 km trail into two to four sections, and tackle them separately. These options also offer more flexibility and is a wonderful opportunity for those who have been too intimidated to join the 100 km walk. To join, simply register on or before 21 October.

Please note: If OHK is unable to host the OTW 2022 in-person event

If, because of COVID-19 or other unpredictable factors, the Organiser is unable to obtain permission to organise an in-person event from 24 to 26 February 2023, the event will go virtual. Any application for withdrawal, refund or transfer of quota to the following year will not be accepted.

Once a team confirms its participation in the OTW 2022 in-person event, it shall agree and must abide by the rules of the virtual event. It is recommended that the team leader and team members discuss whether they are willing to accept these terms before applying and paying the registration fee.
