Thank you for continuing to support the Oxfam Trailwalker (OTW).

The OTW is a very challenging activity. Participants have to hike up 23 hills/mountains, including Tai Mo Shan – the highest of them all, climbing a total of about 4,830 meters. It also involves many uphill and rugged roads. As such, we would strong advise participants to prepare in advance and familiarise themselves with all sections of the trail before the event.

The donations raised through the OTW help Oxfam Hong Kong (OHK) and communities fight poverty to improve their lives. These donations have also enabled OHK to implement various poverty alleviation projects. To learn more, please visit OHK’s website:


Oxfam Trailwalker 2023 event information:

Event period 24 to 26 November 2023 (Friday to Sunday)
Route The route is approximately 100 km long; it starts at the Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and finishes at Crossroads Foundation in Tuen Mun
Team requirements A team of four, aged over 18
Event format Teams to complete the 100 km within 48 hours
Application fee* HK$120 per team (period: 1-29/6)
Lottery date 3rd July 2023
Registration fee* HK$1,600 per team (period: 4-21/7)
  • Each team must raise a minimum of HK$8,000 in sponsorship, except for Pledge Teams, which must raise a minimum of HK$72,000.
  • Teams that have raised HK$38,000 or above will be offered a special team’s quota for Oxfam Trailwalker 2024
  • Donations must be paid to Oxfam Hong Kong no later than 28 December, 2023.

1.1 All teams must register and start at the designated time. No team is allowed to change its start timewithout the prior approval of the Organiser.

1.2 If you intend to join as an Elite Team, please note that at least three of your team members must have completed Oxfam Trailwalker 2017 / 2018 /2022 within 24 hours. Please submit these members’ certificates / results in one of the following ways

1.2.1 Upload the supporting certificate(s) as a JPG / PNG / PDF while registering online

1.2.3 Please note that if any of your team members change after your team becomes an Elite Team, you must submit their certificate(s). Oxfam reserves the right to allocate another team slot to teams that fail to provide supporting documents.
