Please note: Start Point, Checkpoints 1 to 9 remain unchanged, but there will be major changes to the arrangements at the Finish Point. Please read below information in detail, thank you for your cooperation!

 

The 100 km trail starts from Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and finishes at a new site at Crossroads Foundation, Tuen Mun.

 

The route covers sections 1 to 10 of the MacLehose Trail, from M001 – M174. After passing distance post M174 and leaving the Maclehose trail until reach M186 via the path surrounding the Reservoir. Keep going with Maclehose Trail until M193 and leaving the MacLehose Trail and travels 700m along a country trail to Crossroads Foundation (Crossroads Globel Village).

Car parking spaces at Pak Tam Chung public car park are suspended on 24/11/2023 from midnight until 15:00. The free parking spaces for Coach park is available for drop off only. Cars illegally parked at the Pak Tam Chung public car park or nearby might be prosecuted or towed away.

 

Please note:

Pak Tam Chung Country Park Barrier at Tai Mong Tsai Road will be temporarily closed 15 minutes before and after each of the five starts at 0800 hrs, 0930 hrs, 1100 hrs, 1230hrs and 1400hrs on Friday, 24 November 2023.

  1. Check Point 3 – Kei Ling Ha, Closure of Car Park

Shui Long Wo carpark (next to CP3) will be closed from 22:00 on 23 November to 08:00 on 25 November. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting or parking there; vehicles will only be able to drop off passengers or unload goods there. Parking and loading /   unloading is NOT allowed around the entrance of CP3.

The Organiser asks for your cooperation to minimise the traffic congestion around Sai Sa Road and Yung Shue O Road; parking is prohibited around that area. Please park your car at Sai Sha Car park area, however, the parking slots are very limited. Also, support teams and public are strictly prohibited from lighting fires or barbecues within the car park area. Police will also close the road section along Chuk Yeung Road between Shan Liu and Wong Chuk Yeung from 13:00 on 24 November to 07:00 on 25 November.

 

  1. Shatin Pass – Parking is strictly forbidden

Shatin Pass Road is a popular place for support teams to provide materials and encouragement to teams during the event. However, this has created heavy traffic in the area and parking problems which affected local residents and could prevent emergency medical staff from accessing the area. Please note road closure from Lions Pavilion (near Trail Distance Post M101), to the intersection of Kwun Ping Road and Shatin Pass Road from 09:00 on 24 November to 21:00 on 25 November. Support teams are strongly advised NOT to drive to the Shatin Pass area. Thank you for your cooperation!

 

  1. Check Point 6 (Smugglers Ridge Rifle Range) – Kam Shan Road

Golden Hill Road (Kam Shan Road) will be temporarily closed during the event from 13:00 on 24 November to 21:00 on 25 November. Please note that unauthorised vehicles including mountain bikes, will not be allowed to enter Golden Hill Road. Support teams should walk from Tai Po Road to CP6 instead.

 

  1. Check Point 8 (Tai Mo Shan) – Tai Mo Shan Road

Tai Mo Shan Road will be temporarily closed during the OTW from 16:00 on 24 Nov to 15:00 on 26 November. Please note that unauthorised vehicles (except the Organiser’s vehicles), including mountain bikes and taxis, will not be allowed to enter. Support teams are strongly advised to take public transport to CP8 instead of driving.

 

  1. Finish Point (New Location) Crossroads Foundation, Tuen Mun

No parking permit will be issued to teams.

Unauthorised vehicles will not be allowed to enter and no parking permit will be issued by the Organiser. If anyone would like to park your car, please use the parking space along Castle Peak Road – So Kwun Wat.

Public transport is easily available to Finish Point along Castle Peak Road from Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan, Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Please refer to Transport Department: https://www.hkemobility.gov.hk/en/route-search/pt
