1. Oxfam Trailwalker 2025 – Route and Registration at Start Point

The route of Oxfam Trailwalker 2025 starts from Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and finishes at Harrow International School Hong Kong, Tuen Mun. The route covers sections 1 to 10 of the MacLehose Trail, from M001 – M174. After passing distance post M174 follow the Maclehose trail and turn right at the entrance of Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail C6119. Move along Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail (C6119 - C6124) and head to Tai Tong Barbecue Site. Turn left to Tai Tong Shan Road then go upward to the Tai Lam Forest Track after reaching Tai Tong Barbecue Site. Follow the Tai Lam Forest Track and turn right at the junction, then follow the Maclehose Trail to M178 and move on to M193. Head to Tsing Ying Road by taking the big stairs down. Turn left and walk to Harrow International School Hong Kong. Teams should familiar with the route from Checkpoint 9 to Finish Point before the start of the event, please click HERE for details.

The Organiser strongly recommends teams to download or save the GPX file or Google Map of the route before the start of the event.

To ensure smooth arrangement on the event day, teams will depart in five start times. Team should pay attention to the registration time and venue below:

 All teams Must start at the designated times listed above according to their respective team numbers and register at the Start Point at least 30 – 45 minutes before starting. No team is allowed to change its registration and start time without the prior approval of the Organiser.

 

2. Collection of Information Pack

Teams having paid the registration fee are welcomed to collect the Event information and 4 pieces of Event tees on 11, 13 and 14 October (tentatively). (The exact period will be confirmed late)

Please fill in the “Form for collecting Event Information and Teeson or before 30 September to reserve the preferred sizes. Please note that the sizes of the tees are available on a first come first served basis and non-exchangeable. If teams do not collect the Event information and 4 pieces of tees before 31 October, the Organiser will not arrange re-collection after.

In the meantime, this year’s Coupon Booklet has been ready. Teams can get the Coupon Booklet in Oxfam Hong Kong’s office when necessary.

3. (Important) Submission of Particulars of Confirmed Team Members before 14 October and Reminder on Change of Team Member

Please be reminded that you can change any team member for free before 6pm on 14 October (Hong Kong time) by logging in to the Team Page. Fee will be applied for any change of team member made after the abovementioned period. Please refer to the following for details.

Notes for change of team member

  1. In the interest of fairness, team leaders in the Open Team Category (via ballot) CANNOT be changed. Changing the team leader will result in the disqualification of the whole team.
  2. The change of member fee is non-refundable. It cannot be regarded as a donation and is not tax-deductible.
  3. Oxfam Trailwalker is a challenging team event. Participants are strongly recommended to allow adequate time for training and team building before the event. Please avoid changing team members in the month before the event. Changing team members at the start of the event is also not advised.
  4. If you would like to change member, please act according to the following procedures:

Late Change of Team Member Phase I

-       Login to the Team Page for changing team member(s) and pay the late change fee by credit card

-       Fill in the change of team member form (can be downloaded via Oxfam Trailwalker website later) and submit it with payment record to Oxfam Hong Kong by email

Late Change of Team Member Phase II

HK$500 (per member)

1 November to 28 November (Event Day)

1 November to 14 November at 6pm

-       Login to the Team Page for changing team member(s) and pay the late change fee by credit card

-       Fill in the change of team member form (can be downloaded via Oxfam Trailwalker website later) and submit it with payment record to Oxfam Hong Kong by email

After 14 November, all change requests will be handled on the Event Day. Fill in the change of team member form and pay the fee in case at the Registration Hall, Start Point
