Oxfam Trailwalker 2021 Briefing Session: New Arrangements

Congratulations on successfully registering for the Oxfam Trailwalker (OTW) this year! To better protect participants against COVID-19 and for everyone’s safety, OHK’s briefing sessions will once again take place online this year.

 

In order to hold a large-scale sports event during COVID-19, numerous new arrangements have been made in accordance with the government’s requirements. We need the cooperation of all participants and volunteers to hold the event safely and smoothly. As such, both first-time and experienced participants are strongly encouraged to join the online briefing.

 

Details of the briefing are as below:

 

1. New arrangements this year:

Speaker: Brenda Wong, Fundraising Manager (Events), Oxfam Hong Kong

  • Hygiene Measures & Health Tips (COVID-19 vaccination and test requirements)
  • Route (New arrangements regarding the starting and finishing points)
  • Rules and regulations
  • The checkpoints (New location of checkpoint 3 – Kei Ling Ha)
  • Food and water supplies at checkpoints (New: support teams are not encouraged)
  • Safety measures
  • Handling online and offline donations
  • Other important matters

2. Seasoned participant’s thoughts and tips

English Briefing Speaker: John Ariwi, experienced Super Trailwalker

Cantonese Briefing Speaker: Samantha Chan, experienced Super Trailwalker

 

A doctor, physiotherapist and green environmentalist will also share their valuable experience, as well as safety and other practical tips on our website later.
