Launched by the Principal Sponsor AIA, this new award has received 13 applications from teams joining Oxfam Trailwalker for the first time. They demonstrated the highest level of motivation and determination to complete the course. After a series of judging by adjudicators, Team 1028 was selected to be the winner!

The winner will be invited to receive the award during Oxfam Trailwalker 2017 Prize Presentation Ceremony held on 23 February 2018.  The result announcement will also be published on South China Morning Post and Ming Pao on 23 March 2018.

Moreover, the winning team received a HK$5,000 cash award, and AIA will also donated HK$50,000 to Oxfam Hong Kong to support our poverty alleviation Programmes around the world.  In addition, the winner’s team will have priority to participate in Oxfam Trailwalker 2018.

Team 1028 – On Call 32
Although it wasn’t easy, the four medical students that make up On Call 32 decided to take time out of their busy schedules last year to give the Oxfam Trailwalker a try for the first time. While they were training, they made sure they were eating right and well equipped. Besides becoming healthier, they also better understood the “trailwalking spirit”. They said that regardless of how tough a challenge is, as long as you try hard and have the support of those around you, you can accomplish the impossible. With this spirit, they were able to finish the trail within 32 hours.!
